How to Properly Clean Stove Drip Pans

Although stove drip pans are not an essential part of your oven, they still have a job to do as well as increase the overall look of your oven.

The problem with stove drip pans is that stove owners often leave them for too long before cleaning them, so that by the time they do, the pans are clogged up with grease and oil as well as food debris. After 30 minutes, drain the sink and inspect the pans. In most cases, bleach and warm water should be enough to dissolve the built up grime and dirt, and so once you have drained the sink you merely need to wipe the pans and the grime will easily be removed. This isn’t always the case, however, and this means you need to apply a wire brush or steel wool in order to scrub the remaining grime from the pans.

Once that is done replace the pans and burners and you should notice that your oven looks much better than before, perhaps newer because the pans should be shiny and clean!
